JObjects Java System Toolkit 1.2

The Java System Toolkit (JST) is a free java library published by JObjects. They decided to abandon it, but you can still get their last release 1.2 from my homepage:

jst12.zip

For further development a sourceforge project has been created.

The following description is a quote from the original JObjects JST homepage (the Internet Archive still has a copy of it):

Java System Toolkit (JST) is a free collection of Java classes and native libraries (at this time for Windows 95/NT only) that provide a simple Java programming interface for access to some commonly requested system features. JST 1.2 support:

  • Service Control Manager (Windows NT only)
JST enables you to turn your Java application into Windows NT service. Your Java service can receive and handle system events such are request to stop the service, system shutdown, etc.
  • Windows Registry (Windows 95/NT)
Using JST registry keys can be created, read and deleted with ease.
JST 1.2 is released with complete source code under the GNU LGPL (GNU Lesser General Public License).

Requirements:

  • Sun's JDK or JRE version 1.1 or 1.2/1.3 installed
  • Windows 95 or NT 4.0

JOBJECTS DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY SUPPORT FOR JST.
